Benha National University Council Reviews Research and Development Center Structure and Approves New Academic and Institutional Initiatives

The Council of Benha National University held its meeting, chaired by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, with the presence of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, program directors, members of the University Council, and Mr. Ayman Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University.

Prof. Tamer Samir stated that the Council reviewed the proposed organizational structure of the Benha National University Center for Research, Development, and Innovation in Converging Sciences and Emerging Technologies, in addition to the framework governing the recognition of excellence among administrative staff, as well as the internal regulations of the University’s production workshops.

He added that the Council approved cooperation with Bidaya Company at Benha University to implement a number of digital solutions, including e-learning systems, electronic certification services, and online assessment tools. The Council also approved assigning the Consultancy Unit at the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design to undertake the design of lecture halls, with implementation to be carried out through the Faculty’s production workshops.

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy expressed his appreciation for participating in the Council meeting, affirming the ongoing cooperation between Benha University and Benha National University across various sectors, contributing to the delivery of high-quality educational services in line with national priorities.

Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby reviewed the approval of examination committees for the second semester of the academic year 2025/2026 for the Faculties of Economics and Business Administration and Visual Arts and Design. He also outlined the required preparations for launching the Anesthesia Technology and Intensive Care Program at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, in addition to a number of student activities, including Qur’an memorization and Hadith competitions, as well as a Ramadan chess tournament.

Prof. Mahmoud Shakl presented the proposed “Eco-Friendly Campus” initiative, alongside plans for organizing a medical conference and the University’s first employment forum, scheduled for 15 April, with participation from a number of companies across different sectors. He also reviewed the signing of several cooperation agreements aimed at expanding training and employment opportunities for students.
