Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Prof. Wang Wei, President of Beijing University of Technology in China, signed a joint cooperation protocol between the two universities in the fields of education, scientific research, and academic exchange.
This was attended by Prof. Karim El-Desh, Vice President of the University for International Relations, and Prof. Mohamed Saeed, Dean of Engineering College, as well as members of the accompanying Chinese delegation.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized that signing the protocol is a new strategic step towards enhancing academic cooperation between Egyptian universities and their Chinese counterparts.
He explained that the university is seeking, through these partnerships, to provide a developed educational and research environment that qualifies students to meet the requirements of the local and international job market, noting that cooperation with Beijing University of Technology will open up wide horizons for scientific and cultural exchange, which will enhance the quality of the educational process.
Prof. Karim El-Desh indicated that the protocol represents the beginning of more academic and research cooperation between the two universities, stressing that the next stage will witness the launch of joint programs that contribute to upgrading the scientific and research level of both parties.
During the meeting, the Chinese delegation watched an introductory presentation about Benha National University, and they expressed their great admiration for the advanced capabilities and academic facilities available within the university.
