Benha National University organized a celebration for the inauguration of the first student union for the academic year 2024/2025, attended by:

- Khaled Eisawy, Advisor to the President for Student Activities and General Supervisor of Student Activities at the university,

Prof. Tamer Samir expressed his happiness at the establishment of the first student union at the university, affirming that this step represents a true launch towards building a strong student entity that contributes to enhancing values of participation and teamwork, reflecting students' awareness and their eagerness to contribute to the development of university life.
The university president emphasized that the student union is the nucleus for cultivating young leadership, marking a genuine beginning for investing in human capital. He stated that the Egyptian state places great importance on youth empowerment and those national universities have emerged as part of the state's vision to build a modern educational system that meets the requirements of the new republic and contributes to preparing cadres capable of leading the future.
Prof. Hussein Al-Maghrabi confirmed that supporting student activities is one of the most important focal points of work at the university, noting that the educational process cannot be complete without active student engagement that equips students with the necessary life and leadership skills for the job market. He added that the formation of the first student union embodies the spirit of responsibility and awareness among university students, helping to express their opinions and suggestions and working to find solutions to their problems. He praised the outstanding performance of the university's student union and the diverse activities in various committees during the current year.
Prof. Khaled Eisawy explained that the student union will be a key partner in implementing the student activities plan and providing initiatives that align with the needs and aspirations of the students, indicating that the university will provide all means of support to ensure the success of the union's role and enhance its participation in university life.
Mohamed Qawashti, a third-year student at the College of Medicine and President of the Student Union at Benha National University, expressed his pride in assuming the presidency of the first student union in the university's history. He noted that this responsibility is a task rather than an honor, carrying the aspirations and hopes of all university students. He affirmed that the union will be a genuine voice representing the students and a bridge for constructive communication with the university administration, working diligently to launch effective initiatives that serve university life and enhance the spirit of belonging and teamwork.
Mark Nagy, a third-year student at the College of Economics and Business Administration and Vice President of the union, stated that the union fully understands the magnitude of the responsibility placed upon it and aspires to be a model in commitment, planning, and action. He emphasized that the upcoming phase will witness a strong launch in various fields and student activities, stressing that the union will be an active element in supporting his colleagues and representing them faithfully, working to turn their ideas into tangible reality within the university.
The celebration concluded with the honoring of the elected union members and the presentation of several artistic performances and student shows.
