Benha National University Signed Cooperation Protocol with the National Postal Authority

Benha National University has signed a cooperation protocol with the National Postal Authority. The agreement was signed by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Mr. Said Taman, Vice Chairman of the National Postal Authority for Regional Affairs, aimed at enhancing mutual cooperation and expanding the range of educational, administrative, and financial services provided to university members.

  • From the National Postal Authority:  Bayoumi Al-Qattan, Head of the Support Activities Sector; Mr. Mohamed Shehata, Head of Cairo Postal Areas; Mr. Khaled Gad, Head of Sales Sector; Mr. Yasser Al-Eisawi, General Manager of Cairo Sales, accompanied by a delegation from the authority.

Highlights of the Agreement:

  • Tamer Samir stated that the signing of the protocol reflects the university's commitment to expanding partnerships with national institutions, which contributes to improving the services provided to students and staff, facilitating administrative and financial procedures. He pointed out that cooperation with the National Postal Authority is a significant addition to supporting digital transformation and enhancing the quality of services within the university, aligning with the state’s vision for sustainable development.
  • Said Taman expressed pride in collaborating with Benha National University, emphasizing that the authority, as the official body responsible for managing and developing postal services in Egypt, is keen to support educational institutions by providing integrated postal and financial solutions based on the latest technological systems, characterized by efficiency, speed, and security, contributing to achieving financial inclusion and meeting the needs of various community segments.
  • Ayman Bayoumi highlighted that the protocol represents an important step towards developing the administrative and financial work system within the university, explaining that cooperation with the Egyptian Postal Authority simplifies procedures and provides multiple secure channels for fee collection and service delivery, positively impacting institutional performance and the quality of services provided to students and staff.

The signing of the protocol stems from the community role of Benha National University and its pursuit of providing distinguished educational, research, and community services, as well as opening new channels to facilitate access to various postal services for its members, whether postal or financial, through the widespread network of post offices across the country.

Areas of Cooperation: The cooperation protocol includes several areas of joint work, notably:

  • Providing consular certification services for student certificates and university extracts through postal offices.
  • Collecting fees for student activities on behalf of the university.
  • Delivering graduates' certificates to their residences while collecting the prescribed fees.
  • The National Postal Authority will serve as one of the channels for collecting tuition fees for university students, in addition to offering various postal and banking services.
