Benha National University Participates in the Opening of the Eighth International Conference on Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Education

Benha National University participated with a distinguished delegation in the opening of the Eighth International Conference of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), held under the theme Micro-Credentials and the National Qualifications Framework: Bridges Across Borders. The conference is convened under the patronage of Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and has brought together senior higher education leaders and quality assurance experts from Egypt and around the world.

The University’s delegation included Prof. Soheir Shaarawy, Member of the Board of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education and Vice Chair of Benha National University’s Board of Trustees; Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University; Prof. Mahmoud El-Refaei, Director of Programs, Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Doaa Akl, Director of Programs, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration; and Prof. Eman Abdel Ghaffar, Acting Director of Programs, Faculty of Computer Science. The conference was also attended by a distinguished group of university presidents and international experts.

The conference forms part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with Egyptian universities and advance the higher education system in line with evolving labor market requirements. It focuses on implementing the National Qualifications Framework and expanding innovative academic offerings, particularly micro-credentials, which are designed to develop targeted skills and competencies within short learning cycles. These programs support lifelong learning and enhance the alignment between educational outcomes and employment needs.

Benha National University’s participation in this significant two-day event reflects its strategic commitment to embedding a culture of quality and accreditation across all academic sectors. The University continues to draw on international expertise and global best practices to enhance its academic programs in accordance with both NAQAAE standards and internationally recognized benchmarks. These efforts strengthen graduate readiness and enhance their competitiveness at both the national and international levels.
