As part of Benha National University’s efforts to complete the enrolment procedures for new students for the 2026/2027 academic year, Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chair of Benha National University’s Board of Trustees, inspected the ongoing medical examinations and English language placement testing for newly admitted students. The visit aimed to ensure that the procedures were proceeding smoothly and that the necessary facilities and support were in place to assist students throughout the enrolment process.
The visit was attended by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and a number of the University’s academic and administrative leaders. Prof. Gamal El-Saeed reviewed the arrangements for the medical examinations and the Versant by Pearson English Placement Test, as well as the procedures for receiving students, organising their entry, and completing the required enrolment procedures.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed emphasised the University’s commitment to providing students with an organised and accessible experience throughout the various stages of admission and enrolment. He noted that the medical examination is one of the requirements for completing the enrolment process, while the English language placement test is designed to assess students’ actual proficiency in English and help the University identify their academic needs and provide appropriate support.
He also underscored the importance of ensuring the smooth reception of students and completing enrolment requirements efficiently, while providing them with the necessary guidance and support. He commended the efforts of the relevant departments and units in organising the medical examinations and placement testing, and in coordinating their work to facilitate procedures and ensure a welcoming experience for students and their parents.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, explained that the English language placement test has no bearing on a student’s admission to or enrolment in their chosen faculty. Rather, it forms part of the University’s preparations for the start of the academic year and is intended to ensure that students receive appropriate academic support based on their levels of English proficiency. He noted that the University uses the Versant assessment provided by Pearson, a global leader in educational assessment and testing, to ensure an objective and reliable evaluation of students’ English language proficiency.
The University is continuing to conduct medical examinations for new students who have not yet completed them at its campus in Obour City, in accordance with the schedules assigned to each faculty.
It is also continuing to administer the English language placement test electronically to all new students in the University’s computer laboratories. The test commenced on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, according to appointments booked in advance through the Student Services website.
