As part of Benha National University’s commitment to supporting its students and encouraging their participation in scientific and technological competitions, Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, attended the closing ceremony of the Second Benha University Robotics Championship. Held over two days, the championship brought together 30 student teams representing more than 10 Egyptian universities. The closing ceremony was also attended by Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, alongside a number of university presidents and vice presidents, academic and executive leaders, and representatives of the institutions and companies involved in organising the championship.
The closing ceremony featured presentations of the participating teams’ projects, followed by the announcement of the results and the honouring of the winning teams. Benha National University secured three top positions across different categories, reflecting the high calibre of its students and their ability to apply their academic knowledge in technology, robotics and innovation.
- GreenCedes, a team from the Faculty of Computer Science, won first place in the Agri Bot category under the supervision of Dr. Manar Lasheen. The team comprised Maryam Adel Mohamed, Sama Osama Mahfouz, Mohamed Tarek Azmy, Omar Diaa El-Din Fawzy and Youssef Mohamed Abu Saree.
- Cupra, a team from the Faculty of Engineering, secured second place in the Smart Builder category under the supervision of Dr. Dina El-Naggar. The team comprised Nahed Tamer Fawzy, Raghad Ashraf Saadawy, Abdelrahman Ahmed Nayef, Ziad Amr Tasn and Ammar Ahmed Wafaa.
- U tern, a team from the Faculty of Engineering, secured third place in the Smart Medic category under the supervision of Dr. Dina El Naggar. The team comprised Tony Tarek Abu El Dahab, Mohamed Shaker Ibrahim, John Isaac Nageh, Shorouq Ayman Ahmed, Mohamed El-Sayed Ibrahim, Youssef Mohamed El Mallahy, Omar Mamdouh Refai and Ali Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.
Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, congratulated the winning students and joined in honouring them, commending the innovative projects and ideas they presented.
